This tutorial covers the basics of the Daily Fantasy Optimizer, our free lineup optimizer. Tutorials on more advanced topics like stacking strategy are coming soon.
To begin, we’ll cover the steps for building lineups and downloading them with no advanced options. Generating a collection of optimized lineups is as easy as:
After clicking "Generate," your new collection of lineups along with total projected points can be seen by clicking "View Lineups." Salaries for each lineup along with total projected points are displayed on the right side of each row. You can toggle the detailed view to get a breakdown of each player's salary and projected points. There are also additional tabs on the "View Lineups" window that allow you to see a breakdown of player and team exposure. These represent the percentage of lineups containing a given player or player from a particular team, respectively.
You can clear all lineups by clicking the "Clear Lineups" button. You will be prompted to confirm that you are sure, as you won't be able to get these lineups back once they've been deleted. You can also remove individual lineups by clicking on the trash icon on the left side of the lineup row.
To download a CSV file that contains your lineups, scroll to the top of the "View Lineups" table and click the download icon. By default, this will save a file named “lineups.csv” in your browser’s Downloads folder. You can upload the downloaded lineups to either:
DraftKings using their bulk lineup uploader tool (see this tutorial for help)
FanDuel from their contests page (see this tutorial for help)
Happy optimizing!
